Undergraduate Research Assistant for ILLIXR
At the ILLIXR Lab, I am conducting research focused on enhancing the performance of extended reality (XR) systems. My work involves optimizing key components such as the timewarp and rendering pipelines to improve real-time responsiveness. I am also developing machine learning models to quantify and predict XR quality metrics, as well as designing benchmarks to evaluate latency and assess user experience in immersive environments.
During my summer internship at NIU Solutions, I took a leading role in the development of this project. As a key member of the team, I was responsible for much of the front-end development. I implemented significant improvements to the user interface and user experience, while ensuring the application met high-quality standards through rigorous QA (Quality Assurance) processes. This experience enhanced my technical skills, teamwork, and ability to deliver impactful results under deadlines.
I led the initiative to assemble a team for a hackathon project, where we developed a web application for Spotify users, using the Spotify API. The app analyzes skipped songs to help users efficiently clean up their playlists, saving them valuable time. I was responsible for the front-end development, creating an intuitive and user-friendly interface. Additionally, I delivered the elevator pitch, effectively presenting our solution to the panel during the hackathon.
I was entrusted by the owner of Delta Fox to design and develop the company's website from the ground up. I created a fully functional site tailored to the owner's preferences through multiple collaborative meetings. Beyond the initial development, I continue to maintain the website, ensuring seamless functionality and supporting the company in acquiring new clients through an engaging online presence.
